What is the Community Connection Center?
The Community Connection Center (“CCC”) is a one-stop-shop that will address the needs of community members by coordinating the efforts of local organizations.
The CCC is a unique gathering place, community resource center, a networking hub that will house a full range of community services designed to enhance the lives of children, families and communities. The CCC is owned by the United Way of Vermillion and is located at 9 Court Street, Vermillion, South Dakota.
The CCC is a ground-breaking effort to elevate the lives, futures and community of Vermillion and the surrounding area. The CCC is your place, our place, everyone’s place. It is about growth, enrichment and possibilities.
It’s friendly, approachable and open. It’s here for the community, kids, and families. It’s innovative and forward thinking and always open to new ideas. The CCC will be evolving and growing to meet the unique needs of this community.

Why a 5K?
This beautiful community space deserves a big Vermillion welcome and celebration filled with community spirit, family-friendly activities, and, of course, a little walk/run! Let’s #runthistown!
The Course
The CCC 5K Run/Walk will begin on Main Street and end back at the CCC. We've designed this course to be spectator-friendly and a few on-course cheer stations and entertainment along the way!
The Details/Packet Pick-up
Participants can pick up their race packets at the CCC located at 9 Court Street during the following times:
Friday, September 20th between 5 p.m. & 6 p.m.
Saturday, September 21st between 8 a.m. & 8:45 a.m.
Participants can also come and enjoy a tour of the CCC. The race will begin at 9 a.m. on Main Street and end back in front of the CCC.
Children under 10 can participate for free. Please note they will not receive a Bib or T-shirt.
What You Get
Each participant will receive a CCC 5K Walk/Run T-shirt, and we will have post-race food available from our sponsors!
**All registrations are final and there will be no refunds. The race will be held rain or shine unless it is determined that it is either unsafe or logistically impractical for the race to go on.
